Helping Kids Cope Monthly News

February 2003

Current Events:

Helping Kids Cope is currently planning out First Annual Golf Tournament for April 14, 2003. This has been changed from the original date of April 4th due to changing locations of event. We are going to have the golf tournament at the Athletic Club in Franklin. We are very excited about this. The reason for this change is because Helping Kids Cope has been offered help from a company that plans golf events to ensure a successful event. Our goal is to raise $45,000 at this event. So if you can pledge $25, $50 or $100 to a player just send an email to Jennifer@HelpingKidsCope.com. This is a new approach to fundraising and golf tournaments for Helping Kids Cope. We are taking pledges which are tax deductible and each player raises $1000 to play. When you raise more then $1000 you start to receive incentive awards for your effort.

Latest Events:

We are planning a dinner and auction for September at the Franklin Cool Springs Marriott and we are accepting donations and sponsorships. We are also planning many other events for this upcoming year. If you know anybody who would need our assistance please send them to our website to complete an application. If you know of children in foster care that we can assist with an educational night please contact us. If you want to be involved with the planning of these events email us at info@helpingkidscope.com.

Special News:

We will be accepting applications soon for each award. Please go and review the guidelines for the awards and you can apply on line. Phone calls are not accepted at this time. You can check the status on your application by email. We hope to grant our first award in the first quarter of 2003.

Word from the President:

As we go into enter each month and plan each event the generous people that volunteer their time and talents is what makes this all happen. Without out the generosity of these people we would not have such wonderful events planned or such a wonderful program to offer to people. Continue to try to spread the word about Helping Kids Cope and together we can change the lives of so many families, children and birth parents.
