![Text Box: ...A , Tennessee-based group is working to help children, families, and birth parents cope with adoption. Helping Kids Cope is not an adoption agency but a pro-life group whose mission is to help in the adoption process -- for the sake of children. Founder Jennifer Dozier says Helping Kids Cope grants three types of awards: one to help adoptive parents defray the cost barriers, another to help birth parents get an education, and a third to help foster children with their education so they can become self-sufficient. She shares that before she became a mother herself, she worked in an adoption agency, counseling birth mothers and adoptive parents. Both groups, Dozier says, always had the same concerns: adoptive parents stated they would adopt more children if they had the funds, and birth parents said they wanted to go and get an education. She says when she became a stay-at-home mom, she developed Helping Kids Cope to help meet those needs. Dozier adds that the pro-abortion side talks about "choice" -- but the choice of a loving adoption is rarely discussed in the media.
